Summer Social Event

This years summer social event will be held at Cuckfield Golf Club on Thursday 28th August.
Swingers Session - For those you would like to play Golf. It starts at 5pm and the cost is £17 including food
Technical Session - For beginners and novices to learn about golf and have a go. It starts at 6:30pm and the cost is £14 including food.
Please let Jamie know about who's attending as soon as possible.

A message from Jacqui Smith, our events coordinator:
The fun starts at 7 for a glass of mulled wine with dinner
served at 7.30 with carriages at 11.45.
Price per head is £28 which includes:
Glass of mulled wine
Three course dinner (I hear the chef is first class) with
coffee and mints, crackers and dancing – yep, there’s a DJ so Gary, I shall look
forward to you throwing some shapes on the dance floor.
If you are still wavering then let me whet your appetite.
The 3 course menu offers plenty to choose from including Roquefort tart as a
starter, monkfish for main course as well as the traditional turkey and yummy
looking puds including rich chocolate tart or roasted peaches.
I have also had a peek at the wine list and it’s a well
priced selection with old and new world to choose from.
We need to confirm the booking this week so please come along
on weds armed with cheques made payable to Mid Sussex Golf Club. If you cannot
make the meeting this week and would like to come to the party then please could
you e-mail me before Weds with your booking.
Oh and please advise if you have any special dietary
requirements.

Summer Social at Polowood

 On Friday 16th July several of the members, some with partners and children, attended our Summer Social event at the Polo Wood Shoot. The Shoot is located right on top of the South Downs and getting there was quite an expedition in itself! Once we arrived we had the opportunity to partake in clay pigeon shooting, archery, rifle shooting, and Kevin Hinton's favourite, axe throwing! The shoot is owned by our roofer, Gary Coomber, and the evening was expertly run by him and his wife, Paula, along with other assistants. Mary-Jane's husband, Matt provided a barbecue and a fantastic evening with a real difference was enjoyed by all. |

Chapter Social Event - Polowood - 16th July 2010

The 16th July has been confirmed for the next chapter social event. It will be held at Polowood where members will be able to have a go at Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery etc. Catering will be provided and we plan to start at 3.30pm.
The event will be located at St Mary's Farm, Ridge Rd, Falmer, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 9PL.
- If heading from the west: Leave the A27 at the Sussex University / B2123 Rottingdean/Falmer exit.
- At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Mill St
- At the end, turn left onto Ridge Road.
- The farm will be about a mile and a half on the right.

1-2-1 challange for Januaruy and February 2010 and each received a prize. |
